Trainee has mortar skills in denied, hostile environment
Scope
Trainee will develope critical skills to be capable to use 60 mm man-portable mortar in hostile environment, denied, political sensitive or/and areas of limited access.
Training subcategories for mortar course:
0) Intro.
End-state – every course attendant is given basic knowledge about operations in hostile environment, denied, political sensitive or/and areas of limited access.
1) Mortar handling.
End-state – every course attendant is given knowledge and skills to practically implement mortar safety and common mortar handling rules to become a weapon course trainee.
2) Ballistics.
End-state – every course attendant is given knowledge about internal, transitional, external, as well as terminal ballistics of the different mortar projectiles.
3) Targeting/Ranging.
End-state – every course attendant is given knowledge and skills of using range tables and sighting system.
4) Ballistics computer.
End-state – trainee can perform mortar targeting/ranging by using mortar ballistics computer.
5) Mortar classics.
End-state – trainee can perform mortar shooting and is fully aware of mortar capabilities.
6) Meitenance.
End-state – trainee keeps awareness of mortar condition and can perform basics of mortar maintenance.
7) UXO.
End-state – every course attendant is given knowledge and skills of UXO procedures in case of projectile failure.
