At 3RDA, we’ve elevated this casual classic with design and textile innovations to meet the daily demands of heroes in the field. After extensive research into the harsh environments where first responders operate—urban chaos, rural terrains, and icy winds—we selected a tough, agile 4-way stretch, shape-retaining fabric, 100% made in Poland, to ensure unyielding performance. The hoody’s dual-surface engineering blends a low-friction, abrasion-resistant nylon stretch face with a velour back, delivering resilience, comfortable warmth, and breathability as a dual-purpose base and outer layer. The inner velour surface wraps the first responder in cozy warmth during static missions, offering a premium performance fabric experience that’s tough enough for the most demanding EMS/EMT and law enforcement tactical activities. We’ve doubled the main textile in the hood, creating a protective barrier against inclement weather and minor mechanical threats, while the deep hood with tighteners offers the option to conceal identity during stealth tactical operations—a perfect blend of safety and strategy. In chill environments, first responders’ palms often freeze, so we designed prolonged cuffs from a secondary base layer material, complete with thumb and watch holes, ensuring warmth without sacrificing the agility needed for rapid response. Utility pockets on both sides have been reimagined—larger, deeper, and positioned below the opening to securely store duty essentials without fear of loss during dynamic movements. Each pocket features a hidden zippered opening for torso access, a critical feature for law enforcement tactical missions when duty gear lies beneath, allowing discreet retrieval while also serving as a hand warmer by letting you rest palms on your torso. The upper arms, from the elbow down, are reinforced with durable tactical-class stretch material, a design solution that prevents wear and tear during static administrative tasks, ensuring this hoody endures as a reliable companion for your mission.
